So how about that Black Eyed Peas halftime performance? Is a band really ready for the Super Bowl halftime show if they have to cover other bands’ songs — Fergie please don’t ever sing “Sweet Child O’ Mine again — and bring along guests like Usher?
Maybe we’re getting old here at Pop Culted. But when you’ve watched Michael Jackson, The Boss, Tom Petty and Prince perform during the big game, the Black Eyed Peas are going to leave you wanting. Apparently we’re not the only ones that thought that halftime show sucked. Click it for big screen goodness.
Let’s get something a little better for next year, mm-kay?

Ah the joys of Wikipedia.
Given Christina Aguilera’s butchering of the National Anthem, they were in good company
That’s awesome. Now it says:
“On February 6, 2011, the group was featured during the halftime show at Super Bowl XLV. The performance received mixed reviews in both social and mainstream media”
Mixed as in, “sometimes Fergie sounded like she was strangling a cat,” vs. “will.i.am had a dented bowl on his head.”
Haha that’s awesome. You can sing every chorus of every black eyed peas song and only use 10 different words.
Now I have to tell kids about a band named Guns N’ Roses who really did “Sweet Child O’ Mine” because sometimes when a song comes on the radio, some pop culture twit (maybe thats where the term “Twitter” came from) goes “Hey ____ did that song”. You sigh, shake your head and correct them.
They also sucked big time at the World Cup. It was embarrassing for FIFA and the two billion watching and hearing them sing off key, out of sync. Money is for nothing, right?
I love the fact they cited sources too!
They offer better details. Thats the reason why I love Wiki. Wiki has all the stuff you can ever demand.
